A little bit about me...
For Kim Kota, real estate isn’t just her career—it’s a reflection of her life and values. Kim’s goal is simple: to help others find a place they love coming home to.
For Kim, real estate is deeply personal. With more than two decades of experience in nearly every corner of the industry, she understands that buying or selling a home isn’t just a transaction—it’s a life transition. A lifelong Georgian raised in Marietta and Alpharetta and now calling Canton home, Kim combines local insight with seasoned expertise to guide clients through every step with confidence and care. Her clients consistently praise her communication, professionalism, and results—just take a look at her outstanding 5-star Zillow reviews to see what they have to say.
Kim’s career began in 1999 and evolved from property investing and management to becoming a full-time agent in 2013. She approaches each deal like a puzzle, drawing on her degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Georgia—a background that sharpened her attention to detail, integrity, and problem-solving mindset.
Over the years, Kim has owned and self-managed rental properties, completed successful fix-and-flip projects, purchased and developed raw land, and even served as her own general contractor when building her family’s dream homestead in Canton—a custom farmhouse surrounded by nature, raised bed gardens, chickens for fresh eggs, horses, and the simple beauty of country living.
That lifestyle reflects the same values she brings to real estate—hard work, heart, and a love of home. When she’s not helping clients find their perfect place, Kim enjoys baking sourdough, tending her gardens, and foraging for wild foods throughout Georgia, the Midwest, and the state of Washington. She also loves trail riding her horses on scenic park trails near her home, sharing this life with her husband, daughter, her awesome Doodles, and a bearded dragon.
